The worldbuilding sounds spectacular. I like how the author has created a world with imaginative creatures while incorporating themes that mirror the reality of our societal structure. Thank you for the detailed review.

I enjoyed reading your review of this "allegory of human society." Always nice when a series book can stand on its own even a part of a series. Sounds perfect for novel readers who enjoy themes of power struggles and forbidden love.

The story of Sunsky, the magnificent gryphon, who lives in a fantasy world inhabited by a variety of different creatures, somehow reminds me of a modern version of the classic, "The Wind in the Willows," by Kenneth Graham. The multitude of creatures, all able to talk, and the absense of humans, together with a plot containing levels of meaning makes this a world of imagination worth visiting. Your review was a lovely illumination of this book and the world that the author has created.

I appreciate that this book deals with racism and equality, besides being full of fantastical creatures. Sounds like something I would enjoy. Congrats!

The antiracist nature of this novel makes it sound attractive. I also find the title of this book as well as its characters unique. Certainly, lovers of this genre will enjoy reading it. Thanks for the great review!

I don’t read a lot of fantasy novels and often get lost in trying to figure out the complexity of the story and the names. It sounds like this author incorporated some steadfast elements into this plot regarding family and relationships. Thank you for more information on this one. I just don’t think it’s for me.

It is a good read for all fans of fantasy fiction as well as a perfect
combination of fantasy and realism, the novel relies on an allegory of human society.it deals with strong family relationships to forbidden love, power struggles and political alliances.

The idea of humans as mythological creatures catches attention. I love the antiracist message weaved in the plot. Although I'm a fantasy lover, I doubt I'd read this book. I find it a little weird when human feelings are put in animal-like creatures.

My first thought while reading your review, was wow racism is everywhere, and then I continued to read and saw your reference to it as well. I enjoyed your review. This is a read for me.

A good combination of fantasy and realism in the novel "The Gryphon" by Paula Grover, which follows Sunsky, a magnificent Gryphon and a contender to Stone Throne of Gryphonia. The packing of strong family relationships, forbidden love, power struggles and political alliances in the novel makes it interesting.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

Great review! This is totally my kind of story. I love mythical creatures, especially ones who talk to each other. I am definitely adding this to my list.

This is a rage of imagination and, from what you said, doubled by symmetry and planned construction of the novel.
What I like best is the idea of a world where humans are thought to be magical creatures. A fair compensation for being wingless.
Great review of a great book!
