Old Stone Age by Eve Gwartney.
This book is about a family's unfortunate turn of events that broke it and separated, leaving two young girls, Maren and Britta. They try to adapt to servitude life to provide for their family and themselves till something happens. This book tries to show us that every dark cloud has a silver lining, and even after a load of suffering, you will have some happiness afterward. I really loved reading this book and I rate it a 4 out 4. I recommend it to everyone of all ages since it provides a very good message for anyone who reads it. It has no profanity, erotic scenes or typing errors.

Thanks for the review! I did like the premise, however, I understand what you said about the passive voice. The sentences were too long-winded to hold my attention.

The positive life message sounds encouraging. It's true that sometimes unfortunate events can lead us to new opportunities.

I'm glad that the book was well edited.

Thank you for your concise review. :D

Great review Kelebogile Mbangi. I don't normally read books of this sort but I'm considering giving this a second thought.

I really like historical fiction, and I like that there’s a positive lesson to be learned from it. It’s also good to see historical fiction that teaches about the concept of indentured servitude. It seems that people hear about it but don’t always know what the concept actually involved, and what better way to learn than through seeing it portrayed in fiction? Thank you for the helpful review.

Wow. I haven't read any historical fiction set in 1800s in Denmark. I added it in my to-read list!

Well-written review. I would really like to know what happened to Maren and Britta after they went to explore the noise in the forest. Sounds like an inspiring story.

This reads like a book of great hope! That's inspite of the bad things that happen, they're not an end unto themselves. Good things follow soon after. Thank you.

A historical fiction with a good message sounds like a book I can enjoy reading. I'm curious about what Maren and Britta will find in the forest and the subsequent life-changing encounter. Therefore, I'm looking forward to reading this. Thank you for this wonderful review!

I suppose the book has meaningful themes with engaging characters. Plus, it seems to have a good mix of drama and historical details and Danish culture. I like how you detail the plot without revealing too much. Thank you for the well-written review.
