I've requested it from my library, so I should get it soon. When I do, I'll check back in here.

I have finally gotten a bit over halfway through (and I love it just like the rest).
I am, however, very nervous for what is going to happen!

I loved the book as well, but I will wait for you to finish it. Be well!Gravy wrote: ↑19 Feb 2020, 04:16 I'm still having trouble reading (usually, Seanan McGuire books are the antidote, so this is weird). On top of that, I've been sick, so reading has been sporadic, at best.

Cool, I'm glad you're enjoying it! I'm getting the book from my library tomorrow and will check in after I started reading it.gali wrote: ↑19 Feb 2020, 05:49I loved the book as well, but I will wait for you to finish it. Anyway, I love that Jack is in this story. It's so great to be back in this unique world

I'll keep anything spoilery to myself for right now. I can't wait to find out who/what we get next (I want Christopher's story!).
Thank you.

It happened 'off screen,' so to speak, after the events from the first book (the timeline of these books is so complicated! ).hsimone wrote: ↑21 Feb 2020, 11:24 Okay, so I have the book and read only a couple of chapters, but I completely forgot about Jill stealing Jack's body! I literally can't remember that part of the series...has it been that long?

I mean, chronologically, it would have to look kind of like this.
In an Absent Dream (published 4th)
Down Among the Sticks and Bones (published 2nd)
Every Heart a Doorway (published 1st)
Beneath the Sugar Sky (published 3rd)
Come Tumbling Down (published 5th)
So probably while they were off in Candyland.
We get another origin story next. Maybe Cora's? Hmmm...
I wonder if I can find anything out about it. *wanders off to search*

Edit:
(Confirmed new character. Series contracted through book 8 (so far), so basically (fingers crossed nothing happens to change it) 3 more books guaranteed. )

Ah, that's good to know. It's interesting the way the author decided to write the series. I love this world, for sure, but chronologically it seems a little confusing, lol.Gravy wrote: ↑21 Feb 2020, 22:20It happened 'off screen,' so to speak, after the events from the first book (the timeline of these books is so complicated! ).hsimone wrote: ↑21 Feb 2020, 11:24 Okay, so I have the book and read only a couple of chapters, but I completely forgot about Jill stealing Jack's body!
