Seems a mystery or detective story and such are my favorites. The whole issue of trying to unravel secrets hidden deep are what usually intrigues me and keep me glued for hours or even days on a book. Can't wait to grab the book... Anyway, this is a marvelous review.

This looks like a well thought-out book. I like a good mystery, and this looks like it has a good balance. Thanks for the review!

Very comprehensive review, thanks. I liked the way you referenced the author´s treatment of Claire´s character development. Sounds like a good mystery. Have to say the cover is not my favourite. The colour makes my eyes hurt. Need these to look. 8)

I love a good book series, but knowing this one can stand alone makes it a bit more appealing to me. Seems like a very interesting read, and a great review! I read the free preview on Amazon, and that on top of your review makes me want to check out the novel even more. :D

This novel is described as a mystery but, as you pointed out, there's much more, especially concerning Hillary.

Fab review, love how you’ve highlighted that also its the 3rd book, it does stand alone. That gives it a big appeal for me and I like that there are other similar stories as well

An interesting story in which family vacation is interrupted when dark family secrets come to surface and much more is presented in the book "House of Eire" by June Gillam , which follows Hillary Broome, a ghostwriter and her spouse Ed, a detective. Nice thing is that the author skillfully wrote the plot with a cast of well-developed characters, which makes it appealing.

Thanks for the great review. I am glad the book is standalone and the loose ends are tied up even though this book might have a sequel. I would love read about what secrets Emily came to know. All characters seems to be lovely.

It might have not been my style but the fact that it can stand on its own is amazing. Also I will love to see and learn what kind of family secret will be revealed and how they go about it. Wonderful review.

This sounds like a very interesting book, which in a way reminds me of "not my father’s son” where the writer tries to uncover the family mystery(about his grandfather).

I absolutely loved this book and your review describes it quiet well. I agree with the Claire’s exceptional character development and the skillful way the author moves the plot along. As a lover of Ireland, I highly recommend this book!

Wow, intriguing! A mystery set in Ireland, family secrets... This sounds like a great read and I'm especially glad to hear that it stands on its own even though it's the third in a series. It gets to me when you absolutely have to read another book to fully enjoy the one you're already reading! Thanks for a great review.
