Pay it forward is a great concept and I loved the way the author has illustrated it in this book. Also the rhymes in this book makes reading more fun for the children.

I read another book by this author and I am glad that the other books in this series are following the same pattern. It teaches kids valuable lessons. Great review.

Aw, I love the concept of paying forward! A really important lesson for children and adults alike.
I'm not sure I agree with you about slang/made up words, but this might be a cultural or rather linguistic difference. In my language "making words up" is essentially how you learn to speak, children's books and poems are full of fun words. It is interesting to know that this is different in English.

Children's books are wonderful and amazing. They teach values not only to kids but to everyone. I always look forward to reading them because they make my life lighter and my heart sing! The book cover is so colorful which makes it more enticing to read kids. And these beautiful colors extend to the rest of the pages, they are so wonderful to look at. And the message of the book is timely and relevant in the present times. The world needs every paying it forward it can get from each one of us, regardless of age, gender and religion. Congrats!

Paying it forward is really a novel idea and putting it forth to kids is what makes this book stand out! And oh, the illustrations too! Also congrats on being selected as BOTD!

I agree about the issue with slang, also considering that the books of this series can be useful for children with a different primary language who are trying to learn English. Still, they're nice children books.

Letora wrote: 14 Jan 2020, 04:40 I'd like to think that paying it forward is still a new concept. I've only heard of it maybe within the past five years. It's great to be teaching children this. You never know who's day you'll make better by paying it forward. Great review! I would certainly read this to my children.
Kudos to the author for trying to remind us of the importance of one of the most greatest virtues (kindness) if the world would be a better place then we need to start sowing the seeds of kindness into other people's lives, that is when we can conveniently sleep with both eyes closed
