"...focuses on the importance of helping others, without expecting anything in return."

I think this is an amazing thing to be teaching children. We are all taught to share but, unfortunately, the world today is focused on receiving something back. It is important to give to others without expecting anything.

I love that the book is not only simple enough for kids to read on their own but also perfectly opens discussions with adults. Helping others without expecting something in return is an admirable lesson. Thanks for the review!

I love the concept of this book! It teaches children to give back without expecting anything in return, which is a lesson that adults can learn and use as well. Great job on your descriptive review! :)

Paying it Forward is a great lesson for children to learn. But I definitely think that slang words are not needed. Great review.

What a delightful review! It is good to know that you deem it worthy of 4 stars. The lessons within are crucial to relationships for youngsters developing. Helping others without expecting anything in return is a lesson adults could learn, too!

The morals of teaching kids generosity without expecting anything in return is a key on which this book is based. Parables sited for the kids make this book a recommendation for younger audience. A great review indeed!

Thanks for the great review. This is an excellent children's book. I agree that the story is a chance for parents to teach their children to be nice to everyone and to how to pay forward a kindness shown to them. I love the illustrations in this book. Both the storyline and the illustrations will catch the attention of small children.

Thanks for explaining the Pay It Forward concept, I love it and agree it´s a great message for children. If only everyone would apply it each day I am sure the world would be a better place! I think your recommendation of up to 8 years old might be a little too high, I would say 3-6 years as there is very little text to read and 7 and 8 year olds would find it too easy.
As a slight aside, you mention the character Spunky, did anyone else´s alarm bells ring slightly at this? Maybe it´s because I am British... for me, the word spunky is too close to spunk to be a kid´s character´s name.

It is wholesome book with lessons which teaches children the joy of helping others without expecting anything in return, rather passing it on. Children will definitely love this one. Thank you for the well rounded review!

I love the Dynomike series! The positive messages and valuable life lessons are clear and easy to understand, and the fun illustrations and adventurous animal characters keep kids engaged. This children's book is perfect for both home and elementary classroom libraries. I've downloaded my copy; my nephews are going to be excited when I read this to them this weekend! Thank you!! :-)
