This seems an epic fantasy that spans periods of time and supernatural worlds. Basically, it puts together classic fantasy elements with others of a more urban fantasy. I'm intrigued!

Your review gave a really good description of the book and just from the opening, I can tell this is a worthwhile read. I love fantasy and the line you included in your review was so beautifully written; I can't wait to read this novel.

I love your term "book hangover". I know exactly what you mean and that alone would cause me to want to read this book. Reading the sample I was a bit surprised at the POV of the beginning, but I think I shall have to read some more.

Immortal' Requiem" by Vincent Bobbe sounds like a great read but I am not into speculative fiction of myth and folklore books. Good review though. Congratulations on BOTD to the author.

There are some books that you can’t help but feel hollow when they finish and this book seems to be one of them. Plus, I am a great fantasy-lover and this books sounds exactly for me. Thank you so much for the review! Adding this to the list of book I want to read.

LOL - A drunken elf? Really? I had to laugh at the mental image that sprang to mind. Also, your opening statement that this book gave you a book hangover is quite the recommendation. All the best books do. I'll give the sample pages a try.

Just the type of fantasy read I enjoy minus all the killing, of course. Your review is an exceptionally detailed account of this story that Bobbe has created and I look forward to adding this to my bookshelf.

I read the first ten pages and then skipped to the vampire story. That was gruesome. This seems like an exciting book. Thanks for the great review.

What a fabulous recommendation! I’ve only read the prologue but thought it was engaging. I’m looking forward to reading more about Grímnir. I think having him in the modern world will be interesting.
