This book is not my cup of tea, but for what I read on the sample I have to agree with you, It looks well written and edited, with very clear language!

I love the way the author has introduced the story. I would love to read the story of General Hancock. However, war reads are not my cup of tea so I will pass this one. Thanks Kibetious for a wonderful review. Congratulations BOTD.

The bloodiest war in U.S. history is also a treasure trove of interesting facts and people. Winfield is one of those people, and the author, judging from this review, portrays him honestly, warts and all. Sounds like a great read. Thanks for the review, Kibetious. :techie-studyingbrown:

I don’t know much about the American Civil war so I am tempted by this book. I only read the foreword but I got the impression it would try to be a realistic portrayal of war in that period. I’m glad it got a positive review. I’ll put it on my want-to-read shelf.

A book that deals with The Civil War between the Union and the Confederation, where General Winfield's strengths and weaknesses are portrayed. Suitable for fans of historical fiction books and prominent historical figures and military exploits.

It is a good thought provoking review for such people who like to scrabble feature stories. The reviewer has given a good synopsis of a story for those who are doubting to read the book. Alppreciable!

This sounds like a fantastic historical fiction novel that takes place during the Civil War. I love how the author shows different sides to the main characters and shows the devastation of what war can bring. Congrats on the book of the day. Great review.

The battle of the Union and the Confederacy pitted friends against friends. Each side believed in its cause. Could the gains of that war have been reaped peacefully? Who knows? May the sacrifice of those men be forever remembered and appreciated.

This is an interesting historical fiction story on the Civil war and Gettysburg in particular, full of action, conflict, and war. The book has a free sample on Amazon Kindle and has an inciteful OnlineBookClub review that was uniquely wordy. Congrats @623Kellyja on the BOTD.

"I am a Soldier First and Always" is a historical fiction about a soldier.

It is written by James Kelly, who gave a good account of life in the army.

One lesson in this book is the need of peace in any area of ones life.

Moreover, the book is properly edited from the review.

Thank you.

Thanks for the excellent review! I am a historical fiction fan, but I have read several books about the Civil War and I don't care to read another one at this time.

Here in the other side of the world, we focus on our own history and only the most important of historical events are covered in the text. This comes across as a rather brilliant account of gallantry. I would like to give this a read!
Congrats on being selected as BOTD!
