Laci,
Very pretty names. One of my daughters is named Anja (Swedish spelling with J). In fact, all of my daughters have Swedish names from my Finnish background. We prefer different names as they are unique and there won't be 4 of them in each school classroom!
When my husband and I were picking names, we never ran them by anyone (except my mother). Everyone is going to have an opinion. Somebody will always have someone they've known with a certain name and they were fat, ugly, mean, etc. And, sometimes I've seen where someone you know likes the name you've chosen and use it for their own children. What I mean is that it is your child, name it what you want and don't worry about what others say. Once the child is born and named, what can people say. May I suggest you take it all in if you want opinions, but then don't tell anyone which name you will actually use. Keep it a surprise! Congrats and best of luck! Girls are wonderful - I have 3!

Thank you! I love that name (I wont use it, i swear.) But i really dont care if anyone takes any pf the names (except Dee since i actually plan to grow old with her if we ever live past our fall-down syndrom), but in my pregnant jitters, i would really rather someone tell me their opinions on the name i pick. I have a nephew named Bo Hunter because it was "oh so cute" when they were pregnant, now the parents regret naming him that everyday. Dont want that. Thanks for your opinion though, i really do appreciate it and agree entirely. Just dont want to have a oopsie.

Great names! I always look at names on the basis of what they sound like when people shorten it......because in my family, everyone's names invariably shortens, it seems impossible for my family members to say the full name any more

I love the name Anya from your list, very close to the Irish singer Enya (who I love!) I've got a friend called Fiona who is the sweetest little thing ever (seriously she's tiny, like just under 5 ft!) and we just all call her Fee coz even a relatively short name like Fiona seems too big for her!

Anya
Emmy
Jane
Meira, eh. guess it depends on how you pronounce it. Glad it's not Deidre anymore...
Sophie... is at the bottom of this list. Actually, don't name her Sophie. If you do I'll just make fun of her.

whatever happened to Odette?

Arya!

RuqeeD- I know what you mean, my grandpa had problems saying "laci" so everyone in my family ended up calling me "baby" instead. Only my friends ever called me by my actual name, and they all changed it to "Ace" after a while haha. I love Anya, its been one of my favorites since i heard the name on Buffy The Vampire Slayer (she too was afraid of rabbits :P). Abosultely love that name, its second in my list after Fiona. :D

Dee- dude Deidre was Matts idea, and i'm against it entirely which is why its not on the list. Not a bad name, i just dont want to name my bundle that. Odette's kind of... i dont. You know i love the name, but i'm thinking something more cutesy. :D Er. Meira was Josh's choice.. And whats wrong with Fiona!? I love that name.. pick his name over mine, you jerk. :( Arya might be acceptable. MAYBE. We'll see.

I had a neighbout who up to the day she died was always called Baby (I actually don't know what her name was!) & she was 83 when she died. Funny though it never sounded odd to be calling an 83 year old Baby

What about Ella ..... very popular for baby girls here at the moment or Molly is making a comeback. Milly is cute too
Don't forget to check whatever you pick against the surname you don't want to end up with the equivelant of Annette Curtin
