I liked Claire too. Her character was portrayed quite well. I loved whenever she talked about ghosts. Her response to the situations were perfectly fit for a child.

Mrs. Quinn is one of my favorites. She reminded me of my grandmother with her willingness to help others and knows no stranger. That said, she was the last person would want to pick a fight with.

Like my grandmother, Mrs. Quinn was prepared for anything and had a wry wit to match. Top 3 moments:
1) Dropping everything to drive Hillary to see her friend.
2) Taking over and tending to Claire for the day while Hillary recovered.
3) Calmly breaking out an axe as if it were the norm.

Bridget was my favorite character too, although I wish she would have shared more information instead of always saying I'll tell you more tomorrow. I understand that was probably to set up the mystery, just frustrating and a little unrealistic.

My favorite character definitely is Claire, maybe I'm biased because I'm a child lover and I really love the sweetness she brought to the story.

Sarah is also my favourite. She is strong and full of joy. She's got spunk!

Claire is an excellent prototype for a remarkable character. A character must be distinguishable from all the rest, or should be distinctively remembered. It then serves well that she had some idiosyncrasy such as her vehemence at having her hair cut. In character development, the writers go to the extent of giving their characters some weirdness, so to speak. We have read, for instance, of characters who carry a fish in battles, an assassin who wears a graduation cap, and other such distinctive features.

I thought that I was the only one who could relate with Bridget more than any other character. Her indifferent attitude towards life is quite commendable.

I love your choice. You definitely bring a new perspective. Oh, the ax...yeah that is a great moment.

I would have to say that Sara was my favorite character. However, I wish the author would have given a more in-depth back story of how she came to be so close to the family. She was the comic relief, in my opinion. I enjoyed her wit and sly comments.

The novel has great female characters. I liked Sarah a lot, but my favorite was Claire. She was such a charming and lovely kid. I enjoyed her characterisation very much.

My favorite character was Claire. She provides a relaxing distraction from the main plot. Her character gives off a general sense of happiness and innocence.

Sarah. She just radiates happiness and joy. She also has a little bit of sass in her. Genius character design.

Although I liked Claire and Sarah very well, I'd have to say that Hillary is my favorite. She is very much the lynchpin of the story. She pulls everything together.
