This coming-of-age story about a teen with special powers sounds great; I may give this one a look. Thanks for the review, Julie. :techie-studyingbrown:

This is an amazing book. I love that its world building is epic. Sophia is the kind of a character that is attractive enough to pull you into the strong due to her unique attributes. I would love to read more so as to find out how the orb-finding mission went and what obstacles they met on the way. Thanks for an amazing review. Congratulations BOTD.

This looks like a good book for those who are a bit younger but also for sci-fi fans of any age. I love the cover of the book and those purple eyes. The author seems to have put together a great book that incorporates fantasy. Thanks for more insight into this one.

After reading the description, the book didn't sound like my cup of tea. After reading your review, I've added this book to my bookshelf to read. Great review and excellent writing!

This sounds like a cross of several different books. Maybe a little Twilight, some Percy Jackson. I love that the world building is so fantastic. That really makes me want to read the book. Thanks!

It has to be a great YA fantasy to makes me want to read it. Although the plotline sounds interesting, I am not sure I will be reading it. Great review.

This sounds like an interesting and exciting book full of magical events and adventures. The book is for young adults and I like that it provides valuable lessons they can learn from like prejudice, friendship, the toxicity of secrets and deception, and finding oneself. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Amazing review! Normally, I must admit I'm not a huge fan of the coming-of-age fiction, but your incredible review entices me to read this one!

This sounds like a great story for middle graders, but also for mature readers who might enjoy the coming-of-age elements, the unique worldbuilding of planet Chiralis, the strong female protagonist, and the friendship lesson. Thanks for a wonderful review!

What an excellent review for an enthralling story! Sophia is definitely a misfit at the beginning of the book, so I'm glad she finds a special group of friends that she can relate to. I wonder how she accidentally shape-shifts - that must have been quite the surprise for a seemingly ordinary teenage girl. I automatically liked Luna's kind but fierce character, as a constant support to Sophia. The theme of female empowerment is a welcome, inspiring aspect as well. Thanks for the recommendation!
