appreciate how the relationship between Christ and the church. It is significant questions for reflection that could be used individually or in groups and applied to Christian living. The author seems to have made a unique contribution to this field.

This is a very wonderful book which every woman and ladies must read. The novel talks about woman right and their equality between man. And the book also talks about feminism which really impressed me. Nice job

I believe God promotes equality between men and women whole they have separate roles. However, not all societies in the Bible showed this. It's an interesting concept, and I am curious about the author's opinion. I doubt I'll read it though. Thanks!

Although I'm not against the topic of gender equality, the feminism in the light of theology doesn't appeal to me so I'll skip this book.

I'm not religious but this topic seems interesting. It's not common to find a book that is about feminism and Christianity.

Since I dislike the arrogance of religions that claim to be the only true explanation of the universe, I am not a christian myself, however, this book may interest me to read as I have read and studied a great deal of theology. I see that the author quotes extensively from the scriptures. Of course in the old testament there is no doubt at all that women were regarded as subservient to men. We only have the new testament to rely on about Jesus and the new church as there are no other historical references to the church, other than in a much later on in time. I would also be interested to know whether the author makes mention of the fact that the original Hebrew God had a wife as well, but she was conveniently forgotten about later on. Your review was interesting and I can see that you obviously enjoyed this book!

With the explanation from the Bible about equality between male and female is absolutely unimaginable. I get to understand that by only supporting the feminism by word of mouth does not work as it might be with the word from the Bible. So for me this work 'The second eve' is just amazing. Great review.

I agree with her that some people react negatively to these efforts because they fear that traditional structures of male domination and control may collapse. However, she seems to have been earnest in her search to know and understand the truth about how God originally envisioned the relationship between men and women. The study challenged her own traditional beliefs and transformed her thinking about women and their ministry.

Honestly, I do hope these structures collapse. I understand change can be scary, but sometimes a cataclysm is needed in order to build something better.

Gender inequality is not knew. I have heard it for God knows how long. It sad how women were discriminated and seen as inferior beings. The Second Eve by Bette Boersma is rich with information on the same. I will consider reading it. Congratulations to the author on the BOTD. Great review.

As a female, I'm all for basically equal rights (but I could KICK whoever decided women should work outside of the home; I HATE having to work!!!) and I like spiritually-based books, too, but this one just doesn't interest me, so I'll have to pass.
