A supernatural thriller set in New Orleans seems to be interesting.

Thank you for the great review.

I just didn’t feel a connection between myself and this book in the opening pages. Your review was great, but I don’t like reading a second book without reading the first one. I was not aware this was book two until I read your review, so that was why I felt a little lost. Thanks for the information. :)

I have never particularly enjoyed reading books that try to portray southern accents. However, as you stated that this one was done excellently, maybe I will have to give it a go. The synopsis sounds interesting. Thanks for a great review.

I read part of the sample prior to your review and I would agree with the fact this could be a stand-alone book. I had no idea that it was part of a series so I will definitely put this on my want to read shelf and get the first book. It is disappointing to hear about the typos but hopefully, the author will take your suggestion and improve the final draft. Great review.

Living in Africa, as I do, I enjoy finding out about life in other countries, so this book sounds engaging from that aspect alone. I am intrigued by the supernatural element to the plot, and the characters sound well developed and interesting. Having an interior decorator involved in investigating crime and the supernatural sounds compelling and engaging, and I will be interested in immersing myself in this world. The review was nice to read and described the book well.

I’ve never read any sort of supernatural fiction, but this review makes me want to try it. The story looks great.

Sounds like a really good read to me. With the fast pace of the storyline and the well developed characters I wouldn't mind reading it. However I'm a bit skeptical about reading due to its profane language and sexual nature. Thanks for the review.

How intriguing! New Orleans is a great setting for mystery and paranormal occurrences and is deepened by the author's descriptions of the Deep South. Too bad about the grammatical errors; I noticed a few, just in the sample, as well. Overall, this book sounds immersive, captivating, and appealing. Thanks for the well-rounded review!

An interesting concept with what seems like an interesting character and interesting themes! I like that the author has a grasp on how their mannerisms work.

Thank you for the review!

Well-researched and highly-rated, today's second-in-series BOTD is a suspenseful historical fiction read mixed with elements of romance, mystery, and the supernatural. The well-developed characters and descriptive scenes will have readers begging for more! Thanks for your review! :-)

This book sounds interesting with its historical theme mixed with contemporary themes. It started out very intriguing and was fun to read. I'm excited to read more since the characters are so well developed. It will be interesting to see how the prologue ties into the rest of the book.

I have a friend who's a native of the NOLA metro area so it'll be interesting to see how the book holds up to their perspective. From your review I'm also curious if the supernatural elements draw on established New Orleans ghost stories and folk culture or if they're the author's original inventions (or a mix of both).
