Due to the mature themes, I don't think this is for me. However, I love that the author excels in his world building. New Orleans is an interesting setting that creates lots of colorful characters. Thanks for sharing this one!

This is the first time I've seen a review describe a CMTH book as fun and fast-paced. And the review says that the book handles historical fiction quite well. Also, I love the cover. So I am thinking, I'll hoard this one and come back to it later. Congratulations on being selected as BOTD!

With plot accelerators like a violent murder, ominous visions, and a mysterious secret society - I have had all the convincing I need to pick this one up!

The book is very engaging, and very interesting. I really love how you wrote the review, and how you found the knowledge of the South adequate. Unnecessary details about characters is always annoying. Nonetheless, the book seems like a great read. Thanks for your insight!

The eeriness of the front cover definitely has me hooked. The prologue was especially intriguing. Glad it is a series. Nice review!

Murder, visions, a secret society places the protagonist in conflict from the supernatural of the past in New Orleans. This sounds like an interesting story for readers wanting to immerse themselves in the culture of New Orleans and a nail-biting mystery. Great review!

Georganne gets in the middle of a lot of dangerous things by being the decorator for the New Orleans' celebration. The murder, visions, secret societies, and the supernatural happenings all make it sound like a dark theme. It is good that the world-building of the story was the strength of the author.

From the review, it seems this book smacks right down my alley. Supernatural, intrigues, and ancient lore usually appeal to my taste. I just could not fathom why, of all people, use the LGBT+ elements in the story. Is it because fashion and art had seemed to be tagged with them? Maybe, hair fashion, but haute couture please not. Look at all the outlandish dresses the celebs have to suffer wearing.
