The plotting is awesome. I like the fact that the characters are fleshed out further through the use of a variety of viewpoints. Her narration of the witch in the 1800s to Georganne's rival, Blair is awesome. Great review

This book sounds like a great supernatural thriller, filled with ghost stories. It is set in the 1800s and it sounds like it has a great storyline. I am excited to read the first book of this saga.

I am intrigued to see how the past and present are linked in this story. The challenges of navigating the intricacies of southern society make an interesting backdrop for this drama. It should be a good read.

I love New Orleans. A murder mystery with supernatural elements based in NOLA sounds amazing. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your interesting and honest review. Great job!

When I first started reading this book, I found myself riveted by the prospect of haunting and ghosts. I read on with excitement.
Upon continuing, I was confused by the story change and the unknown characters, trying to understand what was going on. However when I caught on to the fact that the story was leading me back and forth through past and present, it began to intrigue me once again!
I now want to see what happens in this book. I found the writing style sparked my inquisitive nature and compelled me to read further, waiting for the next plot twist.
I find this an interesting and different style book. Congratulations to the author! Very good job! You've got me sold and I will suggest this book to many people I know. Thank you so much! Keep up the great work! 👍👏😁💖

A fantasy which offers thrill and fun at the same time! I must admit that it is a rare occasion, and I would like to try it. Congratulations on being BOTD

I am glad to hear that the book is well paced, well written and incorporates LGBT+ themes very well. The setting of New Orleans always sounds so beautiful and it would be extremely interesting to see how this works together.

Thanks for the review. I do love the mysterious aspect of the book, but the excerpt did not catch my attention. I might try it at a later time.

Ooo in-depth paranormal worldbuilding without droning on and on? Amazing! Looks quite interesting from the looks of your review.

I'm not a fan of supernatural themes, but if ever there was an appropriate setting for them, it would be New Orleans. The setting sounds intriguing but the errors are a turnoff for me. Thanks for a thorough review.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting thriller story following an interior designer tasked with the decoration of a New Orleans celebration, but something of a supernatural nature and a violent murder might dampen the festivities. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

The storyline seems interesting. The character of Georganne seems intriguing. It's set in New Orleans which is one of my favourites since The Originals TV Series. I will start with the first book. Congrats on BOTD!

A New Orleans mystery surrounding the missing madam of the most notorious brothel, this sounds like a well-paced story with an interesting premise, but the amount of profanity is a turn-off for me. Thanks for the review.
