The title gives me the feeling that I will encounter a fortune teller in the novel. I find the culture of New Orleans very intriguing. Seems like just the book for me. :emperor:

Thanks for your lovely review. It was great to learn about the LGBT+ being written about in an accepting way. It was also good to learn that the word building continues to be excellent throughout the book.

A great review but the reviewer didn't tell us what was the end point of Georgianna but I think I will do myself the pleasure of finding out by myself.

Nothing is better than a good supernatural book with well developed characters and a great plot. This book is interesting to say the least, not to mention I find the culture of New Orleans quite fascinating. Thank you for your review. I'll definitely check this book out!

The plot promises to be a great book. However, I have questions regarding the writing and narrarion which seem superflous and hard. Thank you for this review though.

Although I have always respected and appreciated the history and culture of the deep south, I don't read books of a supernatural paranormal nature. I'm glad the characters were well-developed, it shows an effort of the author that is commendable.

It will be worth to read about how a mysterious secret society puts the protagonist into conflict with supernatural forces.

Congratulations on BOTD. Unfortunately I do not think this one is for me. I originally thought take a look when I saw it was in new Orleans, but it sounds like it is a slow paced book and that's not for me. It may have violent murder, and ominous visions, but I need action or romance to read it.
