I'm Emily. I'm 23. I live in California, and graduated from UCSB in 2004 with a degree in honors Lit. and have no idea what to do with it. I used to teach preschool but there was no money in it-I need to go to grad school but cannot decide where. I love books, I love writing, I love baseball, I love my dogs. I can play 3 instruments, but none of them extremely well. I think far too much. I have too many interests to count- I am interested in how a man's shoulder's make that line down to his neck and why it turns me on so. Tattoos. Interested in the things I should have said and the things my tongue refuses to speak. Screams of passion. How my shadow pours itself onto parking lots, a long skinny black puddle, all legs and funny thinness. Guitar riffs and solos. Brass bands, the Rat Pack. What sex with you might be like. The wonders of the imagination and the cage of creativity. Why I am never content with what I have. How a kiss on the neck done right sends tingles to the naughty bits. Piercings. Angel's baseball. Old hair bands like AC/DC and Bon Jovi. Dancing on bars. Poetry. Flowers. Thoughts that run around in my head until they become exhausted and fall to the floor. The sane and the insane. The living and the existing. Someday I will die, and will I be remembered? The way a razor slides so easily into skin. The fascination with blood and literature. The way words crash out of me like waves on the sand, and how I shove them into a bottle and throw them back where they came from. How dreams are never achieved. I will always be lacking, and in these thoughts of what interests me, how I have really said nothing.

Now you all know something about me- and you all probably think I'm crazy. But if you think I'm crazy, go read Stranger than Fiction, Palahunik-I highly recommend it.

I'm Kelly, 23 and live in Cincinnati, Ohio. I was a Lit major, but am now an Accounting major with a Lit minor. I've already spent six years in college because I'm taking my time with it and working full time. Eventually I'll finish. I work as a customer service rep and now know why strangers are so annoying. Although it can be incredibly interesting, it's not something I want to do forever.

I'll read anything and have to own books. I can't borrow them. And if I have a series of books that people commonly want to borrow, I buy the paperbacks and the hardbacks and only loan out the paperbacks. I love trashy books, sci-fi, fantasy, non-fiction, historical, literature, etc. If it's got words in it, I'll read it. My bookshelves make no sense to anyone other than me, but I know where everything is.

I don't play musical instruments, but I know how to crochet and knit. I learned when I was about 10 when it wasn't a cool thing to do. I am not into playing sports, but I'm a football junkie.

I don't have anything insighful to say at the moment, but I love your intro LoveHatesYou!

haha i'm down for a trip to cali...
odd thing though. last time i was in cali i went to a 7-11 around.. i dunno maybe 7PM and the guy was like "well it's a little late for coffee don't you think." and then i noticed that almost all 7-11's had like 1 pot of coffee on after 4PM. I thought it was odd because in New York the 7-11's have coffee on 24/7 w/ 5-10 pots on.

... just something i noticed lol

That is weird, because where i live, if people could hool up thier caffeine fix via IV, they might. You know, just to avoid the line at Starbucks. I need it. I need it. I need it to live!

Hey, I'm mainly into Technology, but I do read books occasionally. I didn't know Stranger Than Fiction was a book, I saw the movie about a month ago (or maybe more). I found the movie to be pretty good, I guess the book is just as a good or perhaps better, unless it's different.

I think that Stranger Than Fiction- the movie that is- is diffrerent- the book is a collection of stories on how Chuck Palahunik gets his ideas. But I haven't seen the movie.

Oh yeah it is different then. The movie is about this lady that when she writes a book it comes true (but she doesn't know that), and all her characters end up committing suicide in the end. But the twist is that finally a character realizes somethings wrong and stops her.

Ok. I'm gonna jump in here and tell my story.

-I'm Katy. I'm 23, living in Wilmington NC. I love it - I love the beach - I love the people (most days). I moved here from Michigan about four years ago because I used to be married to a Marine. I didn't go to college, even though I graduated with all kinds of scholarships.... whoops. Ah, anyway. I played the drums for several years. Thinking of picking that back up. I shoot pool like it's going out of style. I dance when I can, even if it's at work with a bunch of mechanics to weird disco music while swinging an air-gun around in the air. My job title is "Service Consultant" for an automotive repair place in town. I'm the only girl, and I'm used to that. I will write about anything that comes to mind and will share it with whomever decides to be bored enough to read it.

I get bored a lot. And I mean really.... a lot.

Didn't mean to interrupt the conversation about coffee, 7-11, California, and whatnot.
Just wanted to introduce myself.
