This sounds really intriguing! I like the idea that it pulls together multiple moral dilemmas. Should people be given advance knowledge of their own deaths? What do people do this with knowledge? Should people own guns for safety? The fact that the author was able to roll all of these ideas into one captivating novel is indeed a feat.
Congratulations to the author on such a great review!

The concept of a “final notice” is a great way to approach a book like this. Tying it in with a current political issue - gun control - is yet another great way to hook the book's readers.

I don’t think I’d want this gadget, but it’s interesting to see what people will do if they don’t think they’ll be around to be held accountable. Thanks for a great review!

A relative of mine knowing about the high possibility of her dead, planned each detail of her burial; since then I have been wondering about this subject: the degree of maturity that you have to achieve to accept your dead. This book touch this topic plus the particularity of North American guns culture. The story is engaging, at least what I have read until now.

In Final Notice, there comes a scenario in which the old age people get the notice about their final days through a newly invented device and how they react after accepting this harsh reality.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting science fiction/crime novel set in a world where a device has been created that can tell a person how soon they will die and this novel follows the doctors that have created this device. It seems like it might be worth a second look. Well done.

Sounds thrilling, it made me think alot about the people that would kill or just do bad things because they know they're gonna die. I'll definitely check it out

The storyline seems interesting. The concept of final notice for death intrigued me. I am also looking forward to the debate on gun ownership. Congrats on BOTD!

This sounds wild! Not sure what I would do if I was given my final notice. What a great premise.

A very interesting premise (and social experiment), to see how various people would react when given the ability to predict their ends. A great reminder that we cannot truly control anyone's actions but our own. This sounds like an adrenaline-filled tale full of gunpowder and surprises!

Final Notice by Van Fleisher seems a wonderful book. A watch that can show the future is sounding awesome. Thanks for the free copy.

This all sounds fascinating. I was kind of disappointed reading that the final notice device can only predict death from sickness/old age, but still your review definitely made me more eager to read and dive in to the book.

No one really knows what they would do if faced with certain death until they actually are. Some people accept their fate and prepare themselves and their loved ones for their passing, but others get angry and some get even. This seems to be an exciting thriller set amid the backdrop of scientific discovery and the controversial gun debate. I will certainly add this to my reading list.

This is a very informative review that gives a good preview of the book and its topic. My only criticism is the recommendation that it not be read by the pro-gun lobby. Mayne it would give them food for thought and a better understanding of the danger of widespread gun ownership.
