This book seems extraordinary! The elders in the story are so active. Also, just reading the story produced the perfect image of a spirited corgi. Amazing novel.

A watch that will show you how long you have left to live? That's a fresh and intriguing premise. Along with the controversial subject of owning a gun, it sounds like a reflective read. Thank you for the great recommendation!

Thanks for the review. I have read this book too, and felt the issues contemplated here are really not far from reality, as you said. A thought-provoking book indeed!

The topic discussed in the book is quite relevant. This, along with the idea of people receiving a notice of their final days adds plenty of thrill to the book. Thank you for this detailed review as it gives a pretty good idea about what the book is about.

Just downloaded the book from Amazon and plan to start reading soon. Thanks for letting us know what to expect without any spoilers! It's a very interesting premise for a book. Though anything can happen at any time, and as mentioned, having the device does not predict car accidents and such other incidents. Therefore, we can never really know for sure when our time will come even with a device like the one in the book. However, it is human nature to always believe there will be another dawn for us, so we never live like our time will actually be up soon. Should be an interesting read.

The topic of gun ownership in Final Notice is very relevant in today's world. Based on the official review, I think I am going to pass because I am pro-gun ownership. While I myself do not own one, I do not believe that the rights of others to own them should be questioned.

It seems an amazing book. The people can know about their death prior to it. It will be interesting to see how they will react. The way you write the review I think I should read the book for sure.

A fictional novel that portrays events that are close to reality sounds appealing. I already have the book on my book shelf, I'm yet to read. I like that the book leaves the reader with a lot to think about and that it highlights a controversial subject. Congratulations on being the BOTD.

Absolutely captivating and intriguing plot premise. Aside from the high entertainment value, I like that it's a thought-provoking book that addresses the issue of gun ownership. Fantastic review.

The plot about knowing your own impending demise seems quite good. Definitely sounds like an interesting physiological analysis. However, I don't like some of the other themes, so I would have to pass on this one. But thanks for the great review!

I love this. Mankind always have a way of twisting or bringing out the bad side to every thing designed for good. While some use the device to prepare and have a good end, others use same to take revenge simply because they won't be alive to face the consequences. A good one there great reviewer.

This is a good sci-fi book. A though-provoking book that also tackles societal issues like the gun use and the care for senior citizens in the U.S.

What would any of us long for if we knew when we would die. Revenge or repentance? The human spirit is complex. Coupled with age and a feeling of helplessness whereas before there was the feeling of "I'm invincible!" in decades past, the protagonist is confronted with this. Add gun ownership into this cocktail of originality and it preps the reader for an intriguing read. What do each of us need to accomplish in our final days when we are certain our days are final? Makes one think.
