I wish I could get the first two books so that the whole story in the trilogy could flow. Judging from your outstanding review, this must be an interesting story. I will add it to my shelf and read it some other time. Congratulations to the author.

The book sounds interesting, but at the same time, it sounds like I'd get a bit lost as it is the third installment in the series and I think that I would need to go back and read the first books to really understand what is going on. I'm on the fence about this book, but I think that for now I will put it on my maybe shelf and see if the first one manages to pique my interest. Thanks for the review.

This book sounds like it is filled with action and suspense. Going undercover for the U. S. Government and then disappearing. I would definitely want to read the first two books of this trilogy before attempting to read this one but it sounds very intriguing! Thanks for the great review.

Serving as a reporter in the army along the Mexican border would be an exciting job. The thing I liked most about the first 10 pages is the old sayings "I am fit as a fiddle and twice as loud" or "I was “steppin’ as high as a blind dog in tall grass.” I haven't heard those phrases.

This review got me interested on this book. I don't mind slow pace narrative if there is reward in the end of it :)

This is great book for historical fiction lovers. Better still it seems to contain some mystery that will definitely keep the reader glued to its pages. I have added it to my shelf. Thanks for the review.

Another historical novel which sounds exciting and memorable to read. I enjoy history and it sounds that the detail and realism in this book will immerse me in the past for some memorable hours. Being a fan of the original James Bond stories, I enjoy tales of secret agents, particularly those set in the past. The story of Billy and his ex baroness wife sounds intriguing. I am curious to find out where he disappeared to and how he is found. Your review was exciting and interesting to read.

At first I had marked today's BOTD as something I didn't think I would want to read because I'm not a big fan of historical fiction. However, being that this is the first book you have ever given a full star rating, I don't know if I can pass on it! I've downloaded my copy and I'm adding the 1st 2 to my Amazon wishlist. Thank you for the outstanding review! Bravo!

Update: I decided to also download Book 2! Thank you, again! :-)

This series sounds very exciting, and it is even more amazing considering it is a true story that came from Billy Battles's journals. It seems he had a dangerous and thrilling life, and I would love to read all about it. Thanks for your wonderful review!

This is a really well-written review and makes the book seem quite exciting. I love historical fiction, especially ones that give insight into different cultures. This seems like a great read!
