Actually, the "journals" are in the "possession" of one Ted Sayles, another fictitious person. That Ronald E. Yates is basically telling Billy Battles' story through another piece of fiction is intriguing, to say the least.
Awwww! Okay. Thanks for the clarification. Clever. Very clever. Makes it a teeny bit less interesting to me, but still gotta respect something so cleverly done. :tiphat:
