The review was very insightful. However, I am sure that the author did his homework. The reviewer may think that the action was too fast but it may be that the author was trying to be as realistic as possible. And really, if one wants to strike fear in the hearts of his enemies he and his subordinates would have to keep very busy.

There were many Mafia novels written since the days of Mario Puzo's Godfather trilogy. However, very few novels became at least somewhat close to those. This is because of the high standard that sets by those novels and the readers always looked to compare any new one with those written by Mario Puzo. Having said that, this novels seems to be a really good one. Thanks for the detailed review!

Speaking of loyalty by mobsters, I can relate to the present world. Italian crime mafia seems horrific but worth a read. The author did a wonderful job by including a summary of the previous book at the beginning of this one. Great review.
