I give a lot of credit to these grandparents. I would find this to be useful as a guide. My hat goes to BOTM.

So, You're Raising Your Grandkids! by Harriet Hodgson seems a book with some valuable lessons. Raising grandchildren without their parents must be a tough job. Congratulations on #botd.

I've kinda done this, and I've kinda been there. Not full time, not one on one. I imagine that neither have you. Yet, your review is thoughtful and open. Good review all the way around.

There are likely a lot of unique aspects to consider if you are a grandparent raising your grandchild without the help of the child's parents. This book will likely help, and guide, these grandparents through this adventure.

A book that provides great insight into how grandparents can raise their grandkids in an effective way. I like how the author gives a combination of research and data into the book, and also her personal life experiences.

Thank you for your review.

On one of my normal days at work, I found out that I have an innate charm with grandparents. While most youngsters will typically brand them as "self-entitled" folks, I find it really easy to work with them. It is such a breeze to talk to them stuff outside work. I find it fascinating and meaningful to talk to them.

This book not only reveals one aspect of raising grandchildren but in totality as a whole. It gives a wonderful insight to rediscover our grandparents and see them from a different angle. The result? Love reciprocated.

While this wouldn't be a book for me, as I have never been in this position, I do think this sounds like a resource for people who have gone or are going through this.

The author writes from a unique perspective. Although she is a grandmother, her role has been changed from spoiling her grandkids to disciplining and caring for them. This book is a reflection of our times. Thanks for the great recommendation.

Since I do not have grandchildren myself, I will not benefit from reading this novel. However, according to the review, this novel does seem to be well written and very helpful if the situation were to occur. Thanks for the review!

It is such a shame that grandparents have to raise the grandkids more often today than years ago. The author did a great job of writing a book to help guide grandparents and give them some helpful pointers in this task. Congrats to the author on BOTD! :)

I'm from India so raising grandkids is a common practice here. Curious to see this happening in different cultures. Thanks for the review.
