yea my library is horrible. its small and doesn't ever seem to have the books that i go there to find. and i dont like being quite so me and libraries don't mesh well. i like to say funny things and laugh and have people laugh at me...like school isn't the place for me either i constantly burst out laughing for like no apparent reason...well for seemingly no reason when really i may have just thought of an absolutley hilarious thing. and my laughing starts a whole chain of events where everyone else starts laughing. im a terrible disruption.

Niphredil, most of our other libraries look like yours... boring! It's just we've been lucky to start from scratch with our central library and get all the fun stuff happening!

Wow, Kath, I am drooooooooling! I'd like to live there! You'd have to toss me out the door at closing time. The library at school is all old and dank with those scary dark stacks where students like to sneak off and, ahem. They're building a new one but I'll be gone before it's completed.

The library here in my little suburb is pretty nice - big oak beams and squishy chairs. Its small, though so I'm constantly waiting for books to come in from somewhere else.

The library is amazing. It's really pretty too. I'm kind of crazy though. I love old fashioned libraries that are all homey. I love going into older looking libraries and feeling like I'm at home and then reading a good book. That's just me though. Even though that's the library I love, I do love the looks of your libary. It's cool to see all the areas and everything. Thanks for posting!

I like homey, old fashioned libraries too, but sadly all our older libraries are either 1970's daggy or dirty, neglected and uncomfortable.

My town's library is more of an office with a few books. Most of the time, you have to wait for the book you want while one of the librarians goes into the storage rooms to get it. My library is very lame.

Stumbled across this rather enthusiastic post about Brisbane city library. Shame the photos have been removed because it's in a prime riverfront location with some avant garde interior designs spread over three floors.
And there's lots of books, of course. I wonder if that librarian still works there or she went to Seattle?
