I don't know about pen crossing but there IS postcard crossing (http://www.postcrossing.com)

awelker I tend to use one pen until it runs out too, and I get REALLY cranky if someone pinches it. Everyone knows my pen at work and leaves it well alone.

Has anyone ever written with real squid ink and a fountain pen? We have this silly thing at work with a bunch of us "young" librarians (in your 30's is very young in the library world!) called The Squid Squad, and someone bought me some real squid ink. It was amazing to write with, but not easy.

The best pens I've ever used in my life are papermate, I think... no, BIC Ultra Round Stic Grip. They're the ones that are clear, with the stripey black gripper part. But they gotta be the ULTRA ones. The ink flows SOOOOOOO smoothly. Oh my God!

I get 'em at OfficeMax, a box of like 20 for 2 bucks. And every single time I go in there I buy a box. It's awful. I have so many pens I could lend half of them out and still have enough ink to write something everyday from now until I'm 95

ha my problem is i can never find a pen. im really not a neat person so i end up looking like all over my floor and on my desk everytime i need one. I also have a problem lending them to people. no matter who asks i always give them a pen and they really never give them back! and for some odd reason i hate asking people for pens back just as much as i hate asking for pens if i dont have one . i dread doing it. im one of those people who even thought everyone else can ask for gum, i just don't think it's right. lol i wait till im offered.

but i really want to go buy some pens and notebooks now maybe even a moleskine one because i love how they lay flat. alright enough about my obsession with writing supplies.

You're definitely not alone in that obsession, I could die a happy woman with endless credit in a big stationery shop like Office Works!

ha my problem is i can never find a pen.
The funny thing is, if you walk in my room you can't go 30 seconds without finding one. I have at least 6 in a cup on my nightstand, then not more than 3 feet away is my shelf/desk/hiding place with a drawer full of them... next to that there's my dresser with pens all over the top of that. I have 3 pens in each purse (I have a rotation of 3), which are behind my door, then there's my bag with all my writing in it, with more pens, also near the door...
It's pretty ridiculous. At least I'm not the only one with a neurosis about pens.
