Re: Three phases of a Life of a Christian
It is not a Christianity phase, it is just a summarising of different situations that people face in their lives. And people are unique and what they go through is personal as wellAwesomeliker wrote: ↑26 May 2020, 18:25 I personally don't believe in the three ohases. I believe that each person is unique and each experience of Christianity is different. I might be wrong ofcourse, but I truly believe that there is no such thing as a Christianity phase.

Comparison is good when you look at someone better than you and set up your goals. But when you look down on others who are less privileged relatively, you just harm your image, and sin as well

God does not consider who is responsible for the crisis, but shows grace to everyone. If it was due to a fault of your own, then it is up to you ti correct itAbhi07 wrote: ↑27 May 2020, 04:30 I have faced much crisis' in my life and God has given me grace to get through all of them, even those of my own making! I have to confess I don't return grace to others as much as I should, and I hate to admit that! Christians are on this earth to carry out God's work and to show love and compassion to everyone. Thanks for bringing this aspect of the book.

It is definitely meant for all. And showing grace is also a responsibility of all of usEdwin Amah wrote: ↑27 May 2020, 08:52 I totally agree with the author on the phases. Through my life time, I have faced some major crisis that looked like the end. I gave up and lost faith a few times, grace was made available and I learnt that by receiving grace we give grace to others too.
You don't give what you don't have. Having received grace made me realize it was meant for all.

This is only a part of a life of a Christian. How big that part depends on individualsJoseph_ngaruiya wrote: ↑27 May 2020, 14:08 I agree they all occur but wouldn't stamp and say that they are the only three stages in the life of a Christian.

Having something is a reason to be happy. But that does not stop their. You have to give what you can to others who are less privilegedSumansona1344 wrote: ↑28 May 2020, 03:21Yeah, me too! I completely agree with the author's opinion about the phases that Christians typically face. There are times we experience crises or challenges, which the scriptures even support. The grace being received knows no bound and this grace is the source of exploits being made by many Christians. I tag being blessings to others an act of returning grace to others. This opinion is very realistic and practical.

You are very correct my friend. These things happen not only multiple times but also simultaneously, forward, bbackward, and in a mixed order as wellrjohnston815 wrote: ↑28 May 2020, 12:45 I think that these three things are cyclical rather than ordered. Any of the three could be happening and not necessarily in that order, additionally I believe these are things that happen multiple times throughout a lifetime.
