I'm not into fairytales but I do like that the damsel is in no form of distress in this book; It's a good lesson to teach the young ones.

This is indeed a modern day fairy tale. It is not my favorite genre as well because it sounds quite girly to me but I would readly recommend this book to friends that love such genre. Congrats on book of the day

I enjoy reading fairytales and like that the female protagonist is a strong character. Great review!

Nadira was an instant "must read" for me! I had a bit of trouble putting it away long enough to write this.

It's good to see an assertive female in a "fairy tale" but this isn't the first time. What about Merida in "Brave"? Even the names are similar!

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting children's fantasy/romance fairy tale story. While I am not the target audience, it might be worth a second look for parents with younger children. Well done.

This children's book sounds very exciting with the Nadira's behaviour; I learn from this review that Nadira is independent and she comes up with very strong opinions by herself and she likes to compete with boys. I always likes to hear such kind of morden vision fairly tale. Many thanks for the great review.

This is an entering, witty, book Nadira is an adventurous type of young lady thats like to do all type of things out doors. Her mom and dad different opinions on how she should do certain things. I see why i would have a good feel for this gene. posting.php?mode=reply&f=60&t=136907#

The story is a modernized fairy tale. Especially so that nowadays, Cinderella could compete with boys in games. The only trouble would seem to emanate from Nadira's sexual preference, just in case. It won't be far-fetched that to act like the boys would also mean to desire what boys would. Oh no, there goes the love story. Thanks for the interesting review.

I would certainly read this book! The female protagonist is not only strong but she doesn't let the opinions of others decide her fate. Great review! :tiphat:

Great review! I loved the few chapters I read. Nadira, Prince Jai and Zahara are really fun characters that are true to who they are. My daughter would love this book. She struggles with self-confidence as a new teen and would adore these teenagers in this story and the lessons they have to teach her about loving herself. Who doesn't love a modern-day fairy tale? Thanks!
