This verse signifies the creative power of God. Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament sheweth his handy work.

An applicable quote Luke 6:35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again: and your reward shall be great and ye shall be the children of the Highest for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil

Whilst I believe that prayer is basically an honest hearty conversation with God, there are scriptures that help to assure me of God's promise of faithfulness.. Psalm 23, as popular as it is, is one such scripture that works for me all the time. I also love Psalm 34: 18... It encourages absolute sincerity in communicating with God, even when I'm seemingly broken hearted.

Isaiah 41:13 keeps me going through the worst because it reminds me that I do not have to face challenges alone. It says, "For I, Jehovah your God, am grasping your right hand, The One saying to you, ‘Do not be afraid. I will help you.’".

Yes! You will, indeed!

Whilst I believe that the references to biblical verses may be very inspirational for true believers, I am always amused to see that in real life, the track record of the Lord being around to help you is really very very bad. Apart from the fact that I havehad direct experience of this as a soldier for over thirty years, one only has to read history to see this as well. So I believe that such inspiration can only serve in order to provide some mystical comfort on a spiritual level only.

I notice that most books that quote from the bible, invariably seem to use the King James version of the bible. This was written by an eminent collection of British scholars but there have subsequently been found that there are errors in translations. However, these scholars did a wonderful job of writing, but I do wonder whether we would have such a wonderful version of the bible, with such glorious prose and poetry, if this had never hapoened.
