Parents with girl kids would find this a great read for their own. Not only will it be motivational to them, it will spur them to become ladies who are undaunted and fearless in life given the resilience and strong determination of Aurora in possessing what was rightfully hers.

It's the era of feminist retellings and this book seems to be one of them. I have just read your review and am already in love with this book. What appeals to a mind more that magic , adventure and comedy. I think this book is definitely a good read for the book lovers who are tired of cliche fairlytales and damsels in distress. This Aurora isn't only beautiful ; she is sharp , funny and brave enough to defend herself which adds to her charm. She is the role model our young readers need. The book conveys the message that " women don't come only with beautiful smiles but also with pointed teeth" . Phillip is my second favourite character , that little thief just stole my precious heart. The other one that's the Prince Adam , I find him cute and funny. He seems to be moulded into a self obsessed being who considers all others inferior, I don't know why that makes me chuckle . I think it's his foolish notion that causes my lips to be lifted from it's sides. The author has precisely drawn out characters and added depth to them . The plot of thid book is undoubtedly original and dynamic twists are calling me to try this book real soon . It has every element of a perfect story : a sword wielding princess who challenges her society (rebels are my weakness), a notorious thief with perfect comic timing , a self obsessed Price who volunteers to be the foolish one, a kind maid who saves her princess , a wretched hag who tries to kill her step daughter , uncertainty , touch of mystery , adventure and thrill. It's an inriguing retelling with well woven plot and a storyline that keeps you wondering. I never liked the original tale of sleeping beauty where the protagonist sleeps and waits for a Prince to save her. Am glad the author changed the storyline and introduced the blooming readers to a strong and worthy protagonist . Am in love this book already!!!😍
