This book sounds like a good choice for readers who enjoy crime fiction with a touch of drama. It's too bad it had so many errors. Thanks for the great review.

The issue of depression and suicide are timely and relevant, besides being a highly sensitive topic. I am looking forward to digging into this novel to know how it is being addressed. The plot is intriguing. What could be the opportunity the main character was able to glean from his work? Very intriguing indeed!

This sounds like a heavy and emotional read. Right now I am looking for something more upbeat so I will be passing up on this one. Great job with the review though. 🙂

On the cover it looks pretty depressing, but it sounds even more so in review. It seems I am not alone in my negative estimation according very low average rating. No offence, but unfortunately, I will have to skip this book.

Your review is great. I've not had contact with character-driven novels. Maybe I'll just give this one a try since I was impressed by the storyline. Thanks.

I usually enjoy books that delve into the human psyche, as this one does, but for the life of me, I could not engage with Samuel. I'm not sure why. I realized the depth of his loneliness and his continuous escape into his imagination as a survival tactic and even empathized, but somehow the story felt...flat, to me. I'll be giving this one a pass, but thanks for the insightful review!
