I am used as a term of endearment
I am used extensively in cooking
I taste really good but if you over use me I can damage your health.

A bit @Ant, but don't worry. There's no need to always rack our brains 🧠

Kids love and adults hate me.
I can only grow and grow.
I can be deceptive, especially with certain conditions.
If you take care of yourself I'll grow more but show less.

Thanks @DATo!

Your guess it's not so far-off. Hair is a sign that reveals the answer to the riddle, especially in men 👨 .

Hey guys, just catching up. Bricks, @DATo? Good thing that @Ant played with legos in his childhood 🙂. My answer would have been a bald, clown doll. And I just realized how creepy my childhood must sounds. But yeah, it's quite a challenge to choose the appropriate words in such a way as not reveal too much and keep the game fun.
Personally, I find the level of difficulty just an optional feature. I enjoy brainstorming as much as I enjoy the immediate feeling of "oh, I know this one!"
Is it maturity, @Lunastella? I know I hate it and it deceives me in some cases. I can't bet on its growing, but surely it shows less.

Now I really want to know how do bald clown dolls relate to wolves, @InStoree :?:. And you're on the right track. The answer to the riddle in most cases involves maturity, but it's not exactly that.
CLUE: It has to do with numbers (at least in all the cultures I know).

Oh, I know it! It's age, right?
I was still thinking about (my) childhood toys 🤦‍♀️.

I'm not going anywhere @Lunastella 🤨😃. I'm a tortoise 🐢 . I'll crawl out, if necessary, and apparently, in the other way.
Thanks, @DATo.

I think you have it DATo
Can't think of anything else it could be but my head is a bit frazzled at the minute, we have a bit of a heatwave going on over here and I think I am melting. 8-)
