The interplay between them was captivating, with many characters on the same mission working toward different goals and carrying out hidden agendas. This is a wonderful review you made. :)

Sounds interesting, but I am not very privy to fantasy at the moment. Lovely review, however.

I bet the queen is eventually able to overrun her adversary in spite of the discoveries she has to make.
Interesting plot.

The review was well written. I particularly enjoyed her critique on the characterization of the main character. She makes some strong points how a so-called trained assassin from birth should be able to detect when someone is lying to her and not be so naive.

This seems to be quite the novel of deception and love. I am already rooting for the leading female. I hope she finds someone worthy of her and is not betrayed by someone who wants only the crown.

I am not a huge fan of science fiction or dystopian fantasy novels. Hence, I will skip this for the moment. Nevertheless, I enjoyed your wonderfully written review!

Glad to hear the book read so well given the self-publication and debut novel status. Thanks for the informative review and glad you enjoyed the novel! :techie-studyinggray:

I would love to read this book. Its a fairytale like story. A story of a girl who was born with powers but was disowmed and she become The Queen of crimson. I would love to explore more about the story. Its a great review telling about the main things about book and how it is well edited.

A strong female character who is naive at the same time seems like an obvious contradiction. This prequel is a really good read that can stand as a single book. Lovely review.

Sounds like a really engrossing read! I'm very excited to read this book. When I first saw the cover and the title I was very curious. I really like the whole idea of 'not everyone is who they appear to be' it adds a level of mystery to it that would definitely keep me hooked. I think it kind of mirrors our society in the sense that you never know who to really trust. Overall, the storyline appears to be really unique and I just can't wait to read it. Thanks for an amazing and insightful review!

If a smart woman has low self-esteem, predatory men pick up on this and use it to their advantage. I'm not saying that I'm a genius, but I got good grades throughout my school years, and my intelligence did not save me from the sort of man who boosts his ego by taking advantage of vulnerable women.
I really appreciated your review. It sounds as if the author has built an intricate and fascinating world. :tiphat:

I don't think so this book is well-written, the sample I read looks not edited well. The king disowned his daughter because of the mark, and the plot sounded good. Aerietta is a trained-assassin but doesn't kill any. I was a bit confused, and it seemed funny.
