The plot of this book seems interesting. The themes addressed in this book are educative and entertaining. I will set a date with this book and entertain myself. Congratulations to the author on BOTD.

This sounds like an interesting novel just from the review that I read. I like the plot line and the character development in this novel since it touches on real life situations. I am interested to know what propels Beth to seek out her family again and what happens when after she arrives in Haiti.

"The reason why you are doing something determines how far you can go for it". In this case, I question why Beth joined the nun's group. Is it because of the hardships she passed through? Anyway, I guess that is left for readers to find out. Thanks for the excellent review.

Beth loses her parents in teenage. She is encouraged to move in and live with her father's sister. The aunt treats her as a slave. Within a year she could not take any more and she escapes. The story is very touching.

At first, I thought this book would be very stereotypical with a broken girl who runs away to find a new life. However, the fact that she becomes a Nun and develops temptations for a reverend is NOT typical at all. This book intrigues me with these romantic aspects. I love a good forbidden romance, but I did think that action would also be a part of it which is disappointing to say it was not. I have not read this dramatic type of book in a while and cannot wait to get back into novels like this! Thank you for the awesome and insightful review!

This story would revolve around morality and motive. It would revolve around doing anything for survival. I believe it talks about sincerity. It's intriguing and thought-provoking. Great review!

A family person and one who doesn't believe in family. A christian and an atheist. Positive and negative. Ying and Yang. Just stay calm through both and you are a graduate of the college of life. Nice one.

An intriguing historical fiction novel about forbidden love and the story of resilience and strength. I just hope the errors were corrected and the pace is not too slow. Thanks for your review!

The story of Beth is one in which many can truly relate with. Forced by circumstances into life you probably wouldn't have lived if the odds were on your side. I enjoy historical fiction and I think I might look into this. Good review.

Seems an interesting book, though I'm not sure I could read it with a lack of action and so many grammar errors.

Thank you for the review!
