Is Sex really necessary?

In my opinion, the author portrayed the human nature. Even if Grant didn't have the time for sexual encounters, it seems understandable to me that he neglected other things to attend tris need. Even if it wasn't necessary for his mission.

I find this topic very thrilling. As much as science and natural instincts are concerned, sex is a natural tranquilizer. Therefore, Grant had to adhere to the call of nature, just like any other normal human being.
It's an eye-opener as well, isn't it?

I’ve not read the book yet, but all I can say is, sex is a physiological thing and the urge is quite natural. So I think it is not unnecessary.

Sex is not a necessary mention in the book,but we all agree that whether we mention it or not,it is a natural act and humans engage in it once in a while. It's inclusion here is not necessarily out of place.

Yes, maybe the author's pure idea was to depict the human instincts

I agree with you that sex is natural occurrence.

It is a natural occurrence, that is true. Yet the issue is with the situation in which it happened

It can't be labeled unnecessary. Yet it is difficult to say that it is necessary as well for the plot

Sex is not really necessary in this plot but some readers are really not satisfied until sex scenes are included in fictional books. Authors are constantly in a dilemma in this context.

I didn't mind the inclusion of sex scenes, but the number of sex scenes was the problem for me. Some of those scenes could have been replaced with more scenarios of Grant looking for his uncle or finding clues.

When choosing the target audience the authors has to be careful not to loose any by adding something to attract a few
