I think one way to address this would be to say calling it paradise doesn't mean all and everything that happens there is always good. But it is the case that most of the times, good things happen I in paradise. The one-third of the angels that were said to rebel also rebelled in heaven. But I don't really know how plausible this explanation is.

Yes, I think Eden was a true paradise. Wasn't relocating paradise the goal, as portrayed in the book, that motivated Cain to keep looking for it - as a way to get rid of the guilt and shame that continually plagued him?

Some believe it's a true paradise but there are others who think it might have been a metaphor.

I think you need to know that no form of murder or mishap as you put it, occurred in Eden. Adam and bia family met tragedy outside of Eden.

Eden was a paradise, just not for Adam and Eve.

Eden was and still is a real place, I believe. It was created by God but the first humans spoilt it. But God still has hopes of rebuilding the earth to be as perfect as the garden was.

The murder didn't happen in the Garden, so I'm not entirely sure how to answer the question. But I think some food for thought is that even paradise has its drawbacks. If you are instilled with free will, but cannot exercise it, how free are you really? Similarly, if you live in a gilded cage, how much can you really enjoy it? None of that is to detract from the beautiful environment and promise that God gave to man, but it is to say that I can understand why there would be conflict.

I believe it is the closest thing to Paradise... May not be perfect but the best place good had created for Adam and Eve
even miracles take a little time. :angelic-blueglow:

I truly think that the Garden of Eden was a paradise as God provided Adam and Eve with everything that they needed. As for the murder, it happened after they were thrown out of the Garden of Eden wich further proves the point that Eden was a true paradise.

I belife the true meaning of "paradise" in our context will be revealed when we contrast it to the hypothetical definition or perspective that we have of hell. So yes, Eden qualifies to be regarded as paradise.

Yes, Eden is depicted as a true paradise in the Bible stories. The first murder happened after Adam and Eve had already been sent away from the garden

Wait! Were Adam and Eve not chased out of the garden before the murder? The garden is a true paradise as the murder didn't happen there. The deceit happened in the garden though

Yes Eden was a true paradise because everything was freely available for Adam and Eve they also interacted freely with animals and the murder happened after they were chased away for eating the forbidden fruit.
