I love the authors perspective on placing logic over emotions. This seems like an interesting book to read. Hopefully the author addresses the flaws. Overall it’s a book I would definitely love to read. Thanks for the review.

This seems like a book that would interest me were it not for the poor editing. Thanks for the honest review.

The perception of "beauty" is most definitely subjective, and many people in our lives will assume various "teaching" roles over time. Thank you for sharing your honest impressions and insights!

I enjoy self-help books most of the time; however, I can't get into books with so many errors! I hope the author will get the editing the book needs so it can be enjoyed by readers. Thank you for the honest and insightful review! :tiphat:

I don't think that unoriginal books are for me since what I most appreciate in a book is the originality, even in non-fiction novels. Also, a lot of errors doesn't attract me to read it because the amount of errors in this book seem distracting. It seems the book brings an interesting message, but it's a common self-help book. Thanks for the honest review! Great job.

Good review, why should I read a book that is boring and unoriginal?
Thank you

I believe that logical responses to situations in our daily lives tend to yield better results than responses controlled purely by emotions. While we shouldn't neglect how things make us feel, it's always better to have a balance. I would have loved to read this book but hopefully after it's been edited. Great review!

I appreciate the critique of your review. Lacking original ideas and the Hindu theme make me pass on this book.

Self-help/motivational books are never my cup of tea because I typically think that the book will be dull or try to be a one size fits all type of approach. Based on your review it sounds like this book would not be one that would appeal to me so I'm going to pass. Thank you for your honest review.

sirbobthewise wrote: 15 Jun 2020, 19:31 While I agree that rational decisions are important, I don’t agree with villainizing emotions. It’s important to have a healthy respect for both logic and our emotions, so I hope that if the author didn't yet address a balanced ground in the text, that he takes the time to do so in the next edit.
So true! It seems that logic (more male) and emotions (more female) are each vilified by proponents of the opposite. But like issues of slavery/employees, logic insists on ignoring the humanity as much as possible to get the most work out of them, while compassion (emotion) leads to getting absolutely nothing done. There has to be a balance. That's an extreme example but I think it shows the point.

I noticed something in the sample on Amazon that I really love: the title of the last chapter is Work on Your Dreams, or Else Someone Will Hire You to Work on Theirs. That's amazing phrasing. :-)

I'm greatful for the incredible combination of various helpful contents that make up this motivational non-fictional novel. It brings together the ideologies of patience and wealth(A very rare combination), as well as responsibility. If you're a fan of non-fiction, I guess this book calls out your name.

The author exposes ideas and concepts related to Wisdom. It seems to me that it has an interesting approach, I think a proofread round would be convenient to correct the editing details mentioned in the official review.

The lion on the cover looks so wise; surely he has wisdom to impart. After looking over the sample, I like the way the author identifies 30 areas in our lives that need exploring to potentially make our lives better. Great review!
