There are so many things that we can learn from a historical fiction! I loved the premise and looking forward to reading it.

I like the fact that the book also deals with some of the modern days issues. I think I should give this book a read, especially as a lover of music. Nice review

I'm okay with historical fiction genre. So will Jamal and Irith succeed in inspiring unity among their people through music? And will they be responsible adults? I hope the book answers those questions. I would have dropped the book, but I'm curious to know about how complicated and intricate the plot is, as mentioned in the review of the book. Congratulations on being the BOTD.

Normally I would have gladly jumped on any given opportunity to read more books in my favorite genre. And believe me - historical fiction is my most preferred among all of them. But unfortunately, in current case I will have to pass it, because despite everything great that was said about the book I simply don't have interest in Israel-Palestinian conflict.

The historical tensions between Israel and Palestine are yet to be resolved. Though the intentions of the two boys are good, but the political will is not. Thanks for the great review.

A book about how important peace is, and aimed at the promotion of a peaceful coexistence between the Jews and Arabs . Nice review
Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen

This is definitely a book I would read. The Israel-Palestine conflict is a subject I explored before and I'm eager to learn more.

This sounds like a really great read, especially for fans of historical fiction. I'm intrigued by the author's take on this school in the Middle East and will be interested to see how he deals with the profound tension in that part of the world!

"Operation Olive Tree" by Jemil Metti - an intriguing story of two teenagers, Jamal, a Palestinian and Irith, a Jew.
They become friends but will the world around them let them remain friends. I appreciate the fine review.

Peace has been the most treasured necessity for man's property. Will the teenagers find a way to engage the people? The odds is against them. I'll love to read this book. Thanks for the review.

A historical fiction novel that focuses on the Israel-Palestinian conflict in the 1980s appears informative and interesting. I will add it to my shelf. Thanks for the review.

I wonder if Irith and Jamal would be able to unite their different worlds through music. I enjoy historical fiction and would give this a ready read.
