I've read many books set during the WWII era and I think it's interesting how there's always so much we don't know. Depictions of torture and death are to be expected in this type of book and, while those elements are rough to read, your review makes me believe that this book is worth it. Thank you!

I like a good tale of historical fiction featuring the realities of Nazi brutality, Jewish Poles, and some incorporated bits of romance. This one sounds like it would be worth absorbing and enjoying. Thanks for your insightful review!

Nazism in Poland is horrifically fascinating and, I feel, sometimes glossed over. It was truly devastating, and I worry about resurgences of anti-Semitism even today. This book sounds educational, gripping, and well researched - a good one for anyone who wants to learn about this regrettable piece of history. Thanks for the captivating review!

Thanks for a great review and for teaching me a new word: septuagenarian. As I've read and enjoyed a lot of literature on WWII, I'm curious to check this one out.

The brutalities faced by the Jews were some of the historical scenarios that will shake everyone. I wonder who the chameleons are? This must be a great read.

I'll pass on this book , as it seems a heavy read. It may appeal to fans of historical fiction. It's a plus that it was well-edited.

The insightful review leaves much to ponder on. I've heard a lot about the Nazi's effort to exterminate all Jews during the Second World War, but my wariness for torture and injustice prevents me from reading the book. Perhaps, the author's powerful writing skill might persuade me into giving it another chance. I'll sample a few pages to see for myself. Thanks for the enthusiastic review.

I wonder what kind of situation that would make a person want to kill a whole lot of people. Strange things happen in the human mind. Great book.

I felt so bad about the torture Jews went through under Nazism. Grandpuppy Haram was a man with passionate heart. Who foresaw evil for his people and looks for means to prevent it. I would love to read this book to see how Brygida handle the assignment. Thanks for your review.

I don't think I'll ever read enough WW2 fiction, and this certainly doesn't sound like one to skip. Great review!
