I like how this book reminds readers about the period of Hitler and how devastating it was for the Jews.

This is quite an intriguing perspective on the war. One wonders how parents prepared their children once they became aware of the German's endgame. This grandfather had the foresight to comprehend what was coming. I am intrigued as to why he concentrated on only one of the twins. Great review!

I've been reading on Polish history and the Solidarity movement so this is a relevant fiction for me. Going on my bookshelf!

This book sounds incredibly interesting. I love historical fiction novels. One of my favorite eras is WWII. This one sounds gripping as they try to survive an evil regime.

Good review. I love historical fixations especially those involving WWII. I’m interested to see how he prepare one so young to survive and what if the other twin?

Though I love historical fiction books, this would be a tough but interesting one to read. Especially considering how much cruelty the Jews experienced in the hands of Nazis.
Congrats on BOTD!

I liked how this gripping historical fiction, Chameleons by Martin Wyatt, transports us back in history to the Nazi's invasion era in Poland, and how it depicts how it might have been for the Jews experiencing the Nazi's brutality first-hand. Great review!

Historical fiction which happens to be character driven often tends to provide insights into the mindset of the abuser and the victims of that era. That being said, I find the descriptions of brutality hard to digest and hence would pass on this book. Thanks for the great review.

I read the first few pages of the book before I read your review. I have to say that as a mother, I found this excruciating so when you described the dialog as lovely I had a visceral reaction. However, given your review, I think I would find the book a valuable read if I could bring myself to get over the "graphic depiction of torture and execution" you mention.

This is a very accurate and professional review about the horrors of Nazi concentration camps in Poland. The book sounds like it has too much violence, so i will not read it.
