A very interesting novel. I think I have fallen in love with historical fiction. This story talks about the Nazi invasion if Poland and a lady who was prepared by her grand dad to face the coming invasion. I love it. Congratulations to the author.

I love historical fiction. While I’m not really looking for any WWII-era fiction at the moment, I do think that the world could do with a reminder of the atrocities committed against the Jews during this time. It might help keep us from repeating similar mistakes of that time period through more discrimination and government corruption. Thank you for the helpful review.

Nice review though.
I love the process of training Brygida went through. The Jews really had a tough time.

Grandpappy's decision in teaching his grandchildren is definitely needed. All I know, during those times a vast of fierce situations did happen. This is a good book in knowing more about Jewish history during Nazism.

I enjoy fictional tales that are weaved around historical events. The Nazi occupation of Poland is one I have never read before.

I have read a few historical fictions encircling WW2, but none of them were set in Poland. The plot of the book seems really interesting. I am really curious if the mention of Grandpappy being an entomologist is relevant. If the author is going to use his professional skills in the story. There seems to be so much going on, and I'm so confused which has honestly made me eager to check out this book. Thank you for your wonderful review. :D

To be completely honest I'm not into long descriptions of scenery. However the story really seems amazing so I might read it in the future! Thanks for the amazing review!

Looks like the author has been masterful in portraying that era along with bringing out the individuality of each character. While I usually steer away from historical fictions, this one actually sounds like it's worth a read. Congratulations to the author on today's BOTD!
