This is an amzing review. However, this book sounds way too scary for me. It also could be shorter.

The book is definitely a thrilling read. I like it that readers are allowed to be insiders. However, I'm not a fan of mystery or horror genres, and I'll pass on this one.

I bet this is a very interesting book. Too bad it contained errors. But reading your review, it seemed to be exhibiting the real agony of our elders. Congrats for delivering a well-written review.

I have only read the first 2 chapters, and I am hooked! This is an eerily creepy thriller, and I am loving it despite the occasional typo. Thank you for the great review.

The review seems like an opening of a horror movie!! The story seems interesting, but I am not a big fan of horror genre. so I would let it pass.

A nice combination of mystery, suspense, and horror in the book "The Darkness at Decker Lake" by Martin H. Zuckerman. The setting of the story is in an isolated lake community, which is inhabited by predominantly retired senior citizens and the individuals having very limited social lives. The nice thing is that the book gives the reader sense of knowing more facts than the characters do, which makes this story quite thrilling.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

The suspense and mystery in this book is intriguing but I'll pass it because I don't like horror genres. Thanks for the review.

I love the summary you wrote; it is very suspenseful and makes me curious about the story. However, I'm hesitant to read this novel because of the gruesome descriptions that you mentioned.

It sounds like the book was entertaining, but in need of proper editing.

Thank you for an honest and well-written review.

The book sounds unique in the way that the story unfolds. We know what the darkness is as readers and we have to watch the characters struggle, which adds elements of frustration and dread. Sounds like a good read to me.

Typically I would not normally read books with horror and suspense. However, I am intrigued to see how the narrative works with the reader being aware what is happening prior to the characters in the book. I would be interested in reading this book to see how the narrative plays out and the interactions of the characters. I'm a little afraid of the technical errors as that often can distract from a strong storyline but I will give the book a chance first. Thank you for the review.

The summary of the book on the review is thought-provoking. I'm glad to know that the conversations in the narrative are "not longer than necessary". I enjoy reading stories with mysteries and suspense. Unfortunately, I'll have to drop the book due to the "violent gruesome descriptions" in the book. Congratulations on being the BOTD though.

The "small community, impending doom" setting reminds me of Stephen King - and I'm a big fan of his. I think I might like The Darkness at Decker Lake. Thank you for your great review!
