Meditating and losing myself in music are what helps me most. Put in your earbuds, tune everything else out and float away on the music....if the kids would just leave you alone. *stress increases*

For me, I find that taking slow, deep breaths is very helpful. There are times that I also make a list of the top three things that I would like to accomplish if I feel very stressed. Going for a walk or reading a book has also helped me to relax. This is a struggle for many individuals and having a "box" of options is so beneficial. Mindless activities can be beneficial if you can relax. The more tools you have in your toolbox, the more successfull you will be with managing the anxiety/stress.

For me meditation is the worst as I will often overthink stuff, so I would say exercise while listening to music. dancing or just walking around my room has made wonders.

I also discovered that I love green tea, and even if it has caffeine, works better on me than chamomile or fennel ever did, apple tea and minty tea are delicious too and makes me so relaxed before sleeping. ^^

That's for me at least. But it's nice to see that most people agree on exercising, makes sense I guess.

I think tea can be a good way to reduce stress. I have tried tea and it really calms my nerves. Especially green tea or any flavored herbal tea is particularly useful.

Yes, any activity that you enjoy and makes you feel comfortable is effective. The most important part of relieving your stress is I think, getting back in your comfort zone. Once, you are comfortable with the things around you, you can have a clear mind and concetrate better.

Yes true. Any kind of exercise can help relieve your stress. It pumps up endorphins in your body and can help you forget about the day's irritaions.

Yes, I think cutting out caffeine can help a great way in reducing your stress. Caffeine raises cortisol, adenosine, and adrenaline and is detrimental in the long run. Again, it cuts down on sleep with is not a great way to deal with stress.

Maditation and breathing. It's amazing what can be acomplished with these practices. You can be more focused, present, aware of what is happening around you. Many people have the tendency to stop breathing when engaging in a given activity, this alone creates stress, even if there is no external pressure. I mean, the body needs air, if you don't breath, may be a message to your body: I'm going to die, and the body freaks out!

Music is always an effective melody for me too. Although music is broad, I've heard several positive feedbacks on the classical and lo-fi hip hop genres. Have you tried that?

Exercise works very well for me too. The tougher the better.

When am anxious or stressed I work out I find it helps me to focus on something else rather than the stress. I am looking forward to exploring other options as mentioned in the book. I think its good to have more than one method to use.

Anxiety affects the while mind and body with a pressure. So first thing that helps me to reduce my anxiety is breathing exercises. Then comes the muscle relaxant exercises. This helps me to bring back my concentration.

Personally, I am an exercise buff. A good workout routine never fails to relive some stress, and I always end up feeling really good. So I will have to agree with you on this one. For me, exercise does the trick.
