I think I will also find Phil interesting because of his sense of humor and frequent use of sarcasm. I look forward to reading this book. Thanks for the review.

The sample that I read of this book was very suspenseful. I know that will appeal to fans of mystery, but I'm not drawn to books where bad things happen to kids, so I'll have to pass on this one. Thank you for the nicely-detailed review!

Your review makes one want to how the story goes, especially what happens to Wayne

Unfortunately, I couldn't find it in myself to be interested in this book after reading current description. It is just that stories about such traumatic things don't appeal to me. Anyway, congratulations with BOTD!

Maybe if we hadn't gone to his house that afternoon, maybe if we didn't want to play football, maybe if Wayne hadn't taken my ball--but we did those things, and Stevie is dead.
An amazing story by Barry Litherland. Cant wait to read this book. Congrats on making the book of the day.

Thank you for the review. Seems like a mystery full of intense moments. I may pass on this book since it’s not really something I’m interested in at the moment. Thanks and congrats on BOTD!!

It is surprising that Wayne and Phil remain "friends" into adulthood. You have written an excellent review. But, now I am wondering what happened to Stevie? From reading the sample, I wonder who robbed the person the police suspected Wayne of robbing. Wayne's childhood was rough and caused him to develop a tough guy attitude of trying to prove nothing or no one can hurt him. I believe I would enjoy this book. But I agree that the profanity is a bit much. Congratulations on BOTD.

The review is greatly appreciated. I love thrillers and I am lured into reading this book. A great movie can actually come out of it. Job well done by the author.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting mystery/crime novel following three childhood friends that grow up and have their pasts come back to get them in the form of unsavory characters forcing one of the friends to acquire the mysterious JAYDEE file and the other dealing with their own trouble. It might be worth another look. Well done.

I like the book's themes. Novels that are centered around friendship always pull me in.

Nice review. This seems like a good suspense novel. The characters even in the sample are well formed and the plot seems well developed.

I'm wondering what one will make of Wayne. He seems to be a pain in Phil's life and the latter seems not to know how to deal with him. This will make a good read.

I wish profanity hadn't become so normal in books these days. But on the other hand books are a reflection of societal norms so it makes sense.
1 Cor 15: 19-20, 26 If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.
But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead...The last enemy to be destroyed is death.

For the first time, in a very long time you’ve actually caught my attention with such a good review. I’m more into fantasy types of books and not very much into crime solving ones but you sure caught my attention! Can’t wait to start reading it:)

This book really catches my interest, as the way you portray it. I think I'd really really love Phil's sarcasm, and Tina's resourcefulness and her wit. Thank you for this! I might give Waves Break a try!
