It helps in defining who you are as a person and helps you understand which behaviours or work is stressful for you. It helps you dealing with your anxiety as you are able to point out which action causes you stress and find a method that sits right with you.

I agree - it's a very delicate balance! It's why you have to learn to know your own limits, which is much easier said than done unfortunately.

It takes a little bit of work, concentration and practice, but I think that knowing yourself and taking responsibility for you own actions and thoughts is a life changer. I am responsible for the way you make me feel.

Yeah, it is really difficult to understand what suits you better. A nagging worry of "what if" always troubles me when making choices though. Also taking responsibility for what decisions you make are important but should not be overdone.

I think the key is in balance. I agree with the author that taking responsibility and accountability for your own life and emotions is key to a life well lived. However I have examples from my own life and people I know that trying to have everything under control can easily deal to burnout. Like I said, balance between knowing when to step up and when to let go.

Taking responsibility for one's life is indeed essential. It helps to know oneself just like the Oracle of Delphi says. It helps to avoid playing the blame game which ultimately makes one reluctant to improve his or her present circumstances. For example, if you blame a fast food joint for being available thus being the cause of your health problems, you'll always fail to achieve your desired healthy status by being passive in your life. Taking responsibility on the hand is necessary and beneficial.

Life is one's responsibilty; no one else can tell you how to live it unless you let them. I think that having the mindset that I can take control of my life and actually do it (even if it is just figuring out what to eat for the whole week) is the key to gaining control.

It is imperative every individual takes responsibility for his/her actions and stop living a life full of reaction alone. Life is all about balance, therefore it is every individual's job to maintain that balance.

I think we all need to own our strengths and our weaknesses. Everyone has both and if you know what they are, you can use your strengths to help you get through situations. If you understand your weaknesses, you have something to work on for improvement. I think sometimes people know they are responsible for their own life, but when things go wrong it is easier to blame the circumstances or someone else than to take responsibility.

Taking responsibility for ones actions and every move, is a priority. I can't agree less with the author. It saves one stress and makes life easier. Some persons have the habit of putting the blame on someone else just to avoid taking responsibility. This leaves them in a bad state in the long run.

The author really stresses that taking responsibility for our actions is vital. Keeping that mindset just allows us to see through and plan ahead without hurting or damaging others in the process as we get to see the consequences of our actions. I think it is something that we really have to keep doing.

You should always take full tesponsibility of your life because when something bad happens you can not just sit out there and blame someone and hope that someone will make things as it was earlier.

The thought of taking full responsibility is one of the things that cause anxiety, but actually doing it can make a person feel much more in control of his or her life. Taking full responsibility is also a path to becoming a good person, in my opinion. It makes us do less callous actions, we learn to think about the other people that would get affected, and we learn how to apologize for the wrong things we've done or bad outcomes from our actions. It helps us release the bad feeling and anxiety inside of us knowing that we did everything in our power and if all didn't go well, we know that we've made it up to the person we affected.

I believe in taking responsibility. That doesn't mean you can predict and steer outcome, but you can (almost) always choose to step away from a bad situation. I believe that yoga, meditation, exercise can help people find the strength to take responsibility for their choice.
