Good review. I love books like these. It kind of reminds me of The Giver and The Hunger Games. I’m interested to see what happened to the elderly.

I am not really into all those end of the world stories or big fan of time travel adventure. Therefore there is no surprise that I will have to skip this book, but want to congratulate with BOTD anyway!

I don't usually read books but I was intrigued by the fact that this book has so many life teachings and experiences to ever think thata life was too short to be trusting every one instead of doing what.makes you happy

I am not a fan of dystopian novels, so I'll pass on this one. I can see how it would appeal to readers who love this style of work. Right from the beginning, the reader has a feel of how world events have changed for the worse. It's too bad it had alot of errors. Thanks for a great review!

This is an interesting story set in the future where climate change has destroyed much of the earth and people live in controlled colonies in the areas that are still habitable. Congratulations to the author for writing this thought-provoking novel chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your excellent review.

Reminiscent of the masterful dystopian works of Aldous Huxley, George Orwell, and Lois Lowry, I would recommend it to readers of any age who are fond of thought-provoking post-apocalyptic or dystopian novels.`
Interesting. I really enjoyed the works of these three authors. Definitely will add this to my list. Thank you for the review!

Thanks for a lovely review. Like others before me, I too was quite surprised to read that this book isn't full of action scenes/heroes. Generally in dystopian novels, the main character is a rebel. I will have to check this out.

I wonder what is meant by "special study"? Does Ella really have a choice? Your review has piqued my interest! The author has revealed a world that expands the reader's imagination. Great review. Thanks for the recommendation!

I love dystopian novels like this that are more about humans and how they deal with the changes in the world. Thanks for your review.
We’re gonna need a bigger bookshelf.
