When I put in front of what I want italicized, it does work but, I don't know how to stop it from a italizing the rest of the paragraph.
I've stopped reviewing for now because it is italizing everything.

You just put the words you want to be italicized inside the brackets.

You have to type the codes correctly. The code at the end of the passage to be italicized is the same as the code before it, except for the slash before the letter "i." Same for bold, except you use the letter "b."
