Sounds like this book has a truly complicated plot. I would definitely want to read the first book before trying this one. Thanks for a very helpful review.

The 2nd book is certainly brilliant. I assumed Galen was the only protagonist as I read book#1, but when I move to the sequels, it seems all three of them, Galen, Demetrius, and Rowan will get their own chance to shine. So the books actually revolve around the trio and not just Galen.

I agree with you Galen as the protagnist is dull and did not meet my expectations. Thank you for the awesome review.

I don't mind magic, fantasy and plot twists. It is the horror and celebrated evil that has me on the fence about this one. However, I like the fact that I could trudge through without reading the prequel, and that it is professionally edited. I just may reach for it. Great review!

I read the first book in this amazing series, and I'm currently reading this second one. I love Matthew Tysz's writing style and how well his books are written. From your review, I can tell that this dark book with a great plot won't dissappoint. Incredible review!

Mukukamm30 wrote: 16 Aug 2020, 12:56 I read the first book in the series, and I was very impressed. I had hopes that Galen would play a key role in the next book, but much to my disappointment, It appears he has been overshadowed by Demetrius and they are now in Voulhire. Nice review.

This book had a much darker setting than the first one. I agree with comparing it to horror books because it had some really creepy elements. I'm also waiting for Galen to have a bigger role in the story. Nice review!
