Taking full responsibility of yourself is a difficult task but it is worth it. You come across your vulnerabilities , weaknesses which ultimately make you strongest.

Very interesting your words. One thing you said called my attention in particular: the importance of understanding your weaknesses. I don’t recall any emphasis on this in the book, but I do think that many people hide from themselves their weaknesses, what creates a lot of internal pressure. I had an aunt, for example, that pretend living a life without problems, one day she just exploded and had a 24 hours amnesia.
What do you think about this?
That's understandable. When you comfort bubble bursts, and you aren't prepared to face your weaknesses, it can lead to tragic consequences. I'm sorry for your aunt.

I try to remember that there are consequences to your actions. Some are good, some are bad, but all are your responsibility. That may sound like it would be overwhelming, but it tends to give me something to focus on. Action and attention helps me relieve anxiety.

This is so true! Your words reminded me of a quote a read another day: “Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else’s opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.” You have to take responsibility for what you want or others will take.

I think that even when there are bad consequences, the moment you take responsibility gives you power to deal better with whatever is about to come, as this reduces the anxiety.

Although sometimes difficult, taking responsibility for one's own life is the only way one can completely resolve whatever issues one's dealing with.

It is funny how a vulnerability can also be a strength. I understand. There is always a flip side. Finding a balance between the best and worst of yourself gives a sense of freedom, which itself is relaxing. If my worst is only this bad, and my best is this far away, navigating between the two is not impossible. And I can relax.

For all actions there is an equal and opposite reaction that is the third law of motion I feel everyone should be able to take responsibility for any action they take and deal with the consequences

Taking full responsibility helps one understand their weakness and learn from their mistakes.
I fully agree with the author here.

Taking full responsibility means you will look at yourself first in front of a problem or challenge in life. In a lot of cases, people blame others for the result. But if we start to look from our side first, you will be more positive at the challenges.

One of the most common areas you can take responsibility for is your feelings, words, actions and thoughts. It's also one of the easiest.

Taking responsibility for your life is taking responsibility for your thoughts, feelings, the things you say and the way you act, as that is the basis of all human experience. Through your emotions , feelings, words and actions you can take control of your life.

When you agree that the feelings you have are your feelings coming from your subconscious, you take responsibility. How you feel is happening in your body and is a consequence of your thoughts. The words that you say come out of your mouth. You are the one who is making a decision and then acting on it.

This means that you have control over those aspects of your life. All this means is that no one can give you something to think, hear, speak or do. Just as you don't have influence over how other people react from their perspective, they don't have that influence over you.

I think taking full responsibility for your life and what stresses you out is an important step in handling stress and anxiety. It's important to acknowledge how you handle a situation to learn how you can improve. I can admit that I worry and stress about work related issues when I probably don't need to. That helps me recognize the situation and use a tacit from the book to deescalate my stress.

Taking responsibility for yourself is a big step. Sometimes, we want others to solve our problems or to make us happy. Taking responsibility means looking for the answers you need and not waiting or blaming others for your own choices. Having this attitude helps a person to move forward and gets one out of the rut that just points the finger. Taking responsibility means you build your own road!

I agree with the author to some extent. In everyday life anxiety and stress sets in when there is a perceived difference between what is and what should be and the resultant outcome of that. i know I would get more things done if I get up early in the morning but I procrastinate before going to bed at night and as a result fail to get up early in the morning. Continuing this habit for few days stresses me out as I barely manage to finish the most needed things before the day ends. In saying this,I support the author's view of taking responsibility of one's action to reduce stress. However, one cannot relax from the stress and anxiety induced by external factors. In those situations trying to calm oneself down by saying I did the best with what I had at that moment can help reduce anxiety.
