Doziesixtus wrote: 23 Aug 2020, 03:03 I'm pretty sure you'd like the second and third book of the series since you liked this. They are more action packed with some plot twists. Even up till the third book Rowan hasn't revealed yet if he's truly a friend or not. Thanks for a well detailed review Samuthee
Mukukamm30 wrote: 23 Aug 2020, 03:02 I also read the book and I agree with your ratings it is a masterpiece and quite engaging.
You're absolutely correct Dozie. I just picked up the second book. Can't wait to relish it. And yes, Mukukamm, it's a masterpiece.

Matthew Tysz has a fantastic imagination. He has been churning out novels for the past three years, but they seem to all have dark themes. I wonder if he's a fan of Stephen King and The Dark Tower series.

It's an enjoyable read. I did like the author's concept in telling us his aim of writing this book. It's a great review.

I'm not generally a huge fan of sci-fi but We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies sounds like a well-developed and exciting book; a good choice for lovers of the genre. Thank you for your superb review!

I agree that the first book in the We are Voulhire series is impressive. The only thing I didn't like is the disconnect between Galen's storyline and the principal conflict, but it didn't majorly affect my enjoyment of the book.
