Very nice review. I have no interest in this book though. A true Christian does not judge others and the message of the bible is to love thy neighbor as we love ourselves. People will do hateful things because they have hate in their heart. The bible does not tell us to be hateful.

It's interesting that the author chose to write this in verse. It is an important subject, but I think it could be broader and include anything "other". This would cover the dreadful racism we find these days, as well as the backlash against feminists.
I am not a Christian, but I always thought that one of the most important lessons Christ taught was tolerance. If you look at the world today through the lens of any of the monotheistic religions,it's hard to find evidence of tolerance. Thank you for your thought-provoking review.

God gave us laws to guide us and make us have peaceful societies. Man forsook God's law and made for themselves new rules the result can be seen by all. I think I'll pass this by. Thanks for the review.

"Man created God in his image " perfectly describe the kind of people we are in the past, present and the future. It's a nice book to read.

While the LGBTQ community certainly deserves a poetic voice, I'm not sure the biblical scripture incorporation of this one would interest me. 'Sexuality' triggered acts of violence and hate crimes are certainly prevalent at times, but I would have a hard time approaching this from a religious perspective. Thank you for sharing your honest impressions.

Well, religion as a whole is there to keep the peace, that's what I thought too. And then same religion found reason to hate and actually want to kill people involved in a practice they deemed sin. Millions have died from that hatred and imposed judgement. Good thing the author took it upon himself to write about it. Congrats on being BOTD.

Refreshing to see poetry books with LGBTQ themes gaining precedence. The violence and hate crimes against this community is sad and good to see the author shedding light on it. Thank you for the lovely review.

I don't normally read poetry but this book seems to be an interesting one. It explains how people use their beliefs to justify the cruel acts they commit. And it also tells how we have to change certain beliefs in according to the hanging society. Congratulations to the author on BOTD!

Looks a wonderful book on social trauma and aftereffect of the long times myths. Nice to see the author has tapped the sensitive issues pertaining to LGBTQ. Wish the bundle of verses/proses brings the right perspective when mass looks at once a particular pocket of society.

This book is a very sensitive one. The author's intention might be good, but the effect could be colossal. I do have an issue when authors, or anyone for that matter, tackle issues in society by attacking a particular religious outfit. I'm doubly sure that this book would have difficulty finding acceptance among religious folks.
